Hey Guys? Sometimes you try your best not to bring work home, but that still happens. It's just one of those unfortunate inevitable things in life.
I pull out my laptop work on the bed, but just an hour, later I start to get lazy and sleepy, and I eventually doze off. When your task is home-based, and you want to get productive, but the flow of the house just isn't with you, so you end up going out to a cafe or a co-working space to work, and you end up spending money.
One solution to this is to make a designated work spot in your house. Where you can empty out your inventive juices, where you can finish that article, where you can catch up on those deadlines.
But remember, your home office shouldn't actually be like your work office. It should be a place wherein you actually want to work in. So I've gonna start off with a question first, what's your style?
My interior design style for this article is industrial. An industrial home office gives off that vibe of being professional without even trying its chill. Also, mature, it's fun but classy, it feels like it's not an office, but it gets you feeling productive.
It's absolutely perfect, so the first thing we need to consider is the spot it can be in your living room or inside your bedroom. But just take note that it should be far from your bed or a TV.
Do you have a spot in mind in your house? Good! The desk is the defining piece of furniture and the biggest, so you should pick the right one and start off the style from there. I recommend something long and with drawers.
Next, we'll have a chair, and this chair is just the right one. Well, if it's too rigid for you, you can add in a pillow.
You will also be needing storage, so think vertically, maximize wall space with vertical shelving units. If you have lots of books, place them all here!
Books are not just useful to sharpen your mind, but they are great home decor. Little things that can't work as decor you may add storage. Add in a really cool-looking metal floral lab, or pendant light for lighting, because I don't want to ruin my eyesight.
Your industrial home office already looks great. But, to add warmth and light, add a plant beside your desk. Or beside your bookcase and a rug underneath.
And I guess I've done, that was quick. Let me just grab my laptop and coffee because I'm going to work with this office space.
