Choose a console table that has a glass top. When there are spills or condensations from drinks or ice, it's easy to clean up, and it won't get damaged, unlike a wooden top. Since it is in the center of the living room, guests can easily just pass by and grab some snacks or drinks, so traffic flow is a-ok.
Another way you can use a console table aside from serving Jing's is by turning it into a study area. This ideal when you want to work, but at the same time, you want to watch TV.
If do you think I missed anything, what else can we do aside from storage a mini-bar, a study area, and additional seating? Let me understand the comments here because your ideas are always welcome.
Maybe your kid has an assignment that involves watching the news. Or they need to make a report about a movie then a study desk in front of the TV is a good move also if you work at home you don't want to get behind on the latest news, so this is suggested.
Lastly, you can put additional seating. This is great if behind your living room is the kitchen, so when someone is cooking, you can just sit there and still be able to have a conversation with them. It's also the spot where you can put on your shoes or leave your bag if ever you're rushing.
